Destination Couple Photoshoot in Rome, Italy
Yes, this was suppose to be my deserved vacation in 2 years. But… Rome is way too beautiful, every corner of this city is a hidden gem. So, of course, I did photograph the sweetest couple in love there and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Ginevra and Edoardo were celebrating their first year anniversary together and a photoshoot in the one of the most romantic cities in the world - Rome, which also happened to be their home city, seemed like a perfect idea.
Coming from San Diego a sunset shoot was an obvious choice for me, but they insisted that the early morning, sunrise time was actually better and I wouldn’t regret it. WHAT??? Does that mean I have to wake up at 6am? Hold on…I’m not a morning person at all :))) But who could possibly know better than a local, so I trusted them and a thought of an Italian cornetto and a cappuccino in the morning and the excitement of a shoot in the open air museum helped me fight my morning laziness :)))
First stop and a meeting point was the world famous masterpiece and the busiest spot in Rome - Fontana di Trevi. I’ve been to Rome multiple times, came to the Fontana even at 3am trying to see it with no people around and it is simply impossible. That is why we started our walk here, in hope we’ll beat the crowd. We haven’t had it completely to ourselves, but we managed to make it look like we did :))
Like true Italians, I should even specify - Romans, Ginevra and Edoardo were super friendly, easygoing, funny, in just a few minutes I felt we knew each other for ages and I met old friends of mine for a coffee. Our next quick stop - CAFFE. Morning fuel refill.
The sun started coming up as we were walking towards Piazza Venezia and already unbelievably beautiful city was becoming magical. The warm morning sun rays peeking through the tiny streets and still very few people…. no noise, no traffic, a few last minutes of peace….
Ginevra&Edoardo’s love was fresh, young, passionate and so sweet - like a morning light.
Walking in the middle of the big boulevard stopping traffic… why not? Italians are up to braking the rules, especially if it is for LOVE.
Kissing, dancing, laughing at Campidoglio (Capitoline Hill), piazza designed by Michelangelo. So so special <3
